Close to the Stockholm City Library you will find this small, cozy cafe. Kafe Himlavalvet is located in Observatorielunden, a park in the heart of the city. They are popular for their sunny terrace surrounded by greenery. Yet they are open all year round. In the run-up to Christmas you can even go there for a traditional ‘julbord‘.
At Himlavalvet they serve fika, lunch and even dinner. In the summer months you can take a seat on one of the 2 large terraces. In winter you can find a place inside. There is seating for about 40 people. The building used to be a laundry.
My tip: try their homemade elderflower lemonade!
Just like you see in Rosendals Trädgård, at Himlavalvet they ask to put away your dishes is a disk station, a handy clearing station.
